In person event next Sunday
To honour the mountain and the arrival into Ireland of one of my teachers - Hannah Muse - Join us.
One of my beloved teachers, Hannah Muse, has just arrived in Ireland, and I’m grateful we’re getting to share some time together. Alongside my ever-faithful co-conspirator and creative witch-sister Victoria McCormack, I felt a quiet urge to mark the moment, not with something that demanded too much planning or promotion, but something simple, soulful, and rooted.
At first, I imagined yoga on the beach… beside the lake… maybe even in Galway city. (And who knows, those may still unfold!) But one early morning, sitting here in stillness, the answer came, gently, but unmistakably from the mountain.
Mount Gable / Binn Shleibhe overlooks our village, a quiet giant keeping watch. It’s a constant presence in my life, sometimes drawing me in with its magnetic pull, other times stirring something in me, making me want to run. I often dream of it.
A sacred site in Irish mythology, this is where the Tuatha Dé Danann are said to have triumphed in the Battle of Moytura. The mountain holds stories in its stone, memory in its moss, grief, too. As well as promise.
So, to honour this ancient place, and to see what gifts may still linger in the land…
A meditation on the mountain, for the mountain.
Join us for a gathering on Mount Gable, a sacred site of Irish mythology where the Tuatha Dé Danann once triumphed in the Battle of Moytura.
We come not to conquer, but to listen.
Not to claim, but to connect.
In the spirit of mountain, in defiance of despair, we gather
for the climate, for the earth, for ancestors, for each other.
This is a moment of quiet resistance and deep remembering.
